CITY OF THOMASVILLE TO RECEIVE GRANT FUNDS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO CASSIDY POND PARK

Governor Brian P. Kemp announced preliminary grant awards totaling more than $225 million for 142 qualified projects that improve neighborhood assets like parks, recreation facilities, sidewalks, and healthy food access in communities all across the state. The awards are part of a state grant program, Improving Neighborhood Outcomes in Disproportionally Impacted Communities. EAGLE SCOUT INSTALLS FIT STATIONS AT CHEROKEE PARK

Thomasville's Cherokee Park, one of the largest parks owned and maintained by the City of Thomasville, has many beautiful features, including a playground, walking trail, and rose garden, but did you know it also contains a Fit Trail? A local Eagle Scout recently completed the installation of a 10-station Fit Trail, adding another amenity to this park for the community to enjoy.
